Passport Project celebrates the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King with free arts experiences on January 17!! Come sample our classes, check out the space, and have a good time in celebration of peace and togetherness. All classes are all ages, except where noted. All classes/ experiences are FREE! and we welcome donations. Art on the walls include photos of Guinea, W. Africa by Chloë Hopson and Mamadou Sadio Tounkara.
- 12:30 – 2:30PM Capoeira Angola Afro-Brazilian Dance / Martial Art. Movement and Music. With Benjamin Gunter. FREE!
- 2:30 – 3:30PM Drum Circle with Josh Shurman FREE!!
- 3:30 – 4:30PM W. African Dance with Ceco Salinas FREE!!
- 4:30 – 5:30PM LINE DANCE! Shake your groove thing in this fun class! With Colleen Clark. FREE!!
- 5:30 – 6:15PM Middle Eastern Belly Dance! With Nailah. FREE!!
- 6:30 – 8:00PM OPEN MIC lead by Shakka Hanberry. Got something you want to share? A poem, a song, a dream, inspiration? This is the place. Bring a snack to share, if you would like. FREE!!
