Learn choreographies of Guinea in this series of fun, high energy classes. You may have danced with Mohamed at Westside Yoga's one-year anniversary party. He is a master dancer and teacher who performs with the world renowned company, LeBallet de Matam of Conakry, and with the Passport Project Global Dance & Music Collective. Learn several rhythms from Guinea on traditional drums hand made in this vibrant country, such as djembe, sangban, dun dun and kinkini which will be for sale (or bring your own). Connect with the heartbeat, the rhythm that connects us all, as you learn traditional rhythms in this class that date back hundreds of years and have inspired many ceremonies and traditions. You will feel how the parts of the various rhythms and instruments fit together and learn to drum as an ensemble. All levels are welcome. ***SPECIAL PRICING***
